NANTES, 10/17/2013 A TER at the station -

FABRICE ELSNER / 20MINUTES

The accident happened shortly before 9 a.m., near Rezé station.

This Friday morning, a TER traveling between Nantes and Pornic fatally struck a person.

Firefighters and the police (who currently favor the suicide trail) are still on the scene.

The train was immobilized, and the passengers stuck in the middle of the track for several tens of minutes were finally able to return to Rezé or Nantes by coach.

In the meantime, traffic to Pornic and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie is severely disrupted and may remain so at least all morning.

Traffic difficulties are also expected for motorists in Rezé, due to the closure of two level crossings.

Buses in the area are also diverted, says TAN.
