We talk to seven-year-old Adrian Hadzic and Tilda Tilljander who tell and reflect on loneliness.

They both have experience with the subject and say that they usually play with children who seem lonely.

- It is important.

Everyone should have friends, says Adrian Hadzic.

"Heavy things that some children carry with them every day"

Children in leisure time can suffer from loneliness, according to a new study at Linköping University.

Researchers Helene Elvstrand and Lina Lago have studied three leisure activities in Östergötland and interviewed children.

In all leisure centers, lonely children were discovered.

- A little boy who was six years old told, for example, that he did not want to wake up in the morning, because he did not know who he was going to play with.

So these are quite heavy things that some children carry with them every day, says Helene Elvstrand, senior lecturer at the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Learning at Linköping University.
