The UAE and Israel sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the mutual exemption of prior visas

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that UAE citizens can travel to the State of Israel without the need for a prior visa, and for a maximum period of 90 days per visit.


This comes on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding for the mutual exemption of prior visas between the UAE and the State of Israel, which was signed by His Excellency Omar Saif Ghobash, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cultural Affairs and Public Diplomacy, and by the State of Israel, HE Shlomo Mor-Yusef, Director General of the Population and Immigration Authority. On this occasion, His Excellency Ghobash said that the entry into force of the memorandum allows Emirati passport holders to enter the territory of the State of Israel without a prior visa, noting that this reflects the two countries ’desire to strengthen relations and the great and promising cooperation opportunities that await the two countries, and opens new horizons for cooperation in The region, and in unleashing economic potentials and creating opportunities for regional cooperation, with the aim of achieving prosperity for the peoples of the region and ensuring a better future for future generations.


His Excellency affirmed that the mutual exemption from prior visas will have multiple positive impacts on the tourism, trade, investment and other sectors and will enhance the bonds of joint cooperation between the two countries.
