The UAE and Israel sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the mutual exemption of prior visas

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that UAE citizens will be able to travel to the State of Israel without the need for a prior visa and for a maximum period of 90 days per visit, according to the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding, which will enter into force after its approval later.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by the UAE, Omar Saif Ghobash, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cultural Affairs and Public Diplomacy, and by the State of Israel, HE Shlomo Mor-Yusef, Director General of the Population and Immigration Authority of the Ministry of Interior.

On this occasion, Omar Ghobash said: “The entry into force of the memorandum will allow Emirati passport holders to enter the territories of the State of Israel without a prior visa,” noting that this reflects the two countries ’desire to strengthen relations and the great and promising cooperation opportunities that await the two countries that open horizons. New developments for cooperation in the region, unlocking economic potential, and creating opportunities for regional cooperation with the aim of achieving prosperity for the peoples of the region and ensuring a better future for future generations.

He emphasized that the mutual exemption from prior visas will have multiple positive effects on the sectors of tourism, trade, investment and others, and will enhance the bonds of joint cooperation between the two countries.
