According to 112 Ukraine, the minister said that the preclinical phase of testing a Ukrainian candidate for a vaccine against coronavirus has been completed.
“This phase has several big moments.
We can say that it has been passed, that within the framework of this preclinical phase it was found that this vaccine candidate has quite good prospects, ”he said.
According to him, the development of this candidate was carried out by an American consortium of companies together with Ukrainian scientists.
The head of the department added that now the specialists will move on to the clinical phase, which will be started with the full support of the state, including the financing of all processes.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the production of a Ukrainian vaccine against coronavirus infection.
