Lee Sang-won, head of the infectious disease response analysis department of the Korean Central Agency for Disease Control, introduced at a press conference on the afternoon of the 22nd that as of noon that day, a mass infection in a hospital in Gyeonggi Province resulted in 106 diagnoses, and an infection in Busan nursing homes caused 84 diagnoses. Medical institutions or nursing homes in Dao, Chungcheongnam-do and other places have also reported infections.

He said, "The hospital is likely to have another outbreak."

At present, the metropolitan area is testing all personnel in nursing homes, involving a total of 160,000 people.

According to Lee Sang-won, Seoul has already tested nearly 2500 staff of relevant medical institutions and found one confirmed patient, and will continue to increase testing efforts.

Li Xiangyuan also said that from the analysis of the infection situation in recent days, the cross-infection in areas where there are more young people, such as smoking places, is showing a worsening trend, and people are required to reduce the gathering in indoor places.

The epidemic in South Korea has rebounded significantly in August this year, and the epidemic has generally been easing recently.

However, the South Korean epidemic prevention department has repeatedly stated that due to the arrival of autumn and winter, the epidemic is at risk of recurring at any time.
