Chinanews.com, October 22. Li Jiangping, Director of the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, revealed on the 22nd that the Ministry of Public Security will expand the scope of exemption for private cars and include 7-9 non-operating small and mini buses (except minibuses) within 6 years. .

On October 22, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference to announce 12 new measures for public security traffic management to optimize the business environment in three aspects: “off-site operations”, “convenient operations” and “online operations”.

Li Jiangping disclosed the above information at the press conference.

Li Jiangping introduced that motor vehicle safety inspection is an important legal system established by the Road Traffic Safety Law, which plays an important role in ensuring vehicle safety performance, preventing and reducing road traffic accidents, and ensuring the safety of people’s lives and property.

In recent years, the Ministry of Public Security, in conjunction with market supervision and other departments, has continuously introduced reform measures to facilitate motor vehicle inspections, implementing exemption from inspections for passenger cars, free inspections for private cars within 6 years, inter-provincial inspections, online appointments for inspections, and electronic vehicle inspection signs And other measures.

At present, 190 million car owners have enjoyed the inspection-free policy, 22.23 million car owners have cross-province and cross-regional inspections, and 110 million car owners have received electronic vouchers for inspection signs through the Internet.

With the development of the automobile industry and technological progress, the quality of automobile products has been continuously improved, and the level of professionalism in vehicle maintenance has been continuously improved. The public has a higher voice for further relaxation of private car inspection.

In this reform, the Ministry of Public Security has actively responded to social feedback, and has further reformed the scope and cycle of vehicle inspections by the competent authorities of the country’s auto industry, quality supervision and other related industries.

One is to expand the scope of exemption for private cars.

On the basis of implementing exemption for non-operating small and mini buses with less than 6 seats within 6 years, further expand the scope of exemption, and include 7-9 non-operating small and mini buses (except vans) within 6 years into the exemption scope.

When periodic inspections are required every two years, the owner of a motor vehicle can directly apply to the traffic management department of the public security organ for an inspection mark after providing a traffic accident compulsory liability insurance certificate, vehicle and vessel tax payment or tax exemption certificate, without having to go to the inspection agency for safety technical inspection.

The second is to optimize the inspection cycle.

For non-operating small and mini passenger cars (except vans) that are more than 6 years but less than 10 years, the inspection cycle is relaxed from once a year to once every two years. That is, private cars only need to be tested twice in 10 years, which is the sixth Year, 8th year.

For private cars more than 10 years old, the inspection cycle is still implemented according to the original regulations, that is, 10-15 years, once a year, and more than 15 years, once every six months.

After the implementation of this measure, more than 170 million private car owners across the country will enjoy the convenience brought about by the reform.
