June 20, 2019 Conversions of fixed-term to permanent contracts increase significantly.
According to INPS data, in the first 4 months, compared to 2018, from 165,000 to 272,000 (+107,000, + 64.5%).
Confirmations of apprenticeship relationships reached the end of the training period are also growing (+ 10.7%).
Overall, the hires, referring only to private employers, in the first quarter of 2019 were 2,320,000.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, there is an increase in permanent contracts, apprenticeship contracts, seasonal and intermittent.
On the other hand, fixed-term contracts (-9.2%) and temporary contracts (-36.5%) decreased.
The terminations totaled 1,793,000, a decrease compared to the same period of the previous year: the reduction concerned the termination of contracts in administration, of temporary contracts and of permanent contracts;
on the other hand, the termination of relationships with intermittent, seasonal and apprenticeship contracts is on the rise.
In the months of January-April 2019, 41,463 employment relationships were encouraged with the benefits provided by the three-year structural exemption for the activation of permanent contracts for young people, a slight decrease compared to the same period of the previous year (-4.3 %).
In particular, 21,737 refer to hires and 19,726 relating to permanent transformations.
The number of incentivized relationships is equal to 5.3% of the total number of open-ended contracts activated (hires + transformations).
