“The government has now decided to gradually ease visa and travel restrictions for more categories of foreign citizens and Indian citizens wishing to enter or leave India,” the government said in a statement.
It is noted that entry is allowed to all cardholders of foreign citizens of India and persons of Indian origin, "as well as all other foreign citizens intending to visit India for any purpose, except for tourism."
Earlier it was reported that the number of coronavirus cases in India exceeded 7.5 million.
