"

The hour is serious

" in France said this afternoon Jean Castex to announce the change of many departments in maximum alert.

Six days after the curfews introduced between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in the metropolitan areas of Paris, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Rouen, Grenoble, Saint-Etienne, Montpellier and Toulouse, the government is therefore extending the system to fight against Covid-19 by France.

38 new departments will have to respect the curfew, as well as Polynesia.

Indeed, the increase in cases of contamination continues in France.

Yesterday nearly 27,000 new cases were recorded in 24 hours, nearly 6,300 more than the day before.

In this context, the city of Strasbourg in eastern France has also given up its traditional Christmas market in the face of the worsening health situation.

It does away with the installation of the usual 300 chalets, but the large Christmas tree in Place Kléber is being maintained with “animations” or “artists' wanderings,” the city mayor said on October 22.
