China News Service, October 22. According to the Canadian "Sing Tao Daily" report, from October 20 local time, Canada has re-allowed the entry of newly admitted international students.

  Before October 20th, only international students who hold a valid study permit before the effective date of the travel restrictions for the Canadian epidemic on March 18, 2020, can enter Canada.

  The Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada (IRCC) has revised the relevant restrictions. From October 20th, whenever the study permit is obtained, as long as the designated learning institution where the international student plans to visit has an epidemic preparedness plan and obtain the local province Or approved by the regional government, you can enter Canada.

  In other words, in order to be able to enter Canada as an international student, the following two conditions must be met:

  1. You must have a valid study permit or a letter proving that you have obtained a study permit;

  2. Must go to a designated learning institution, and the DLI has an epidemic preparedness plan approved by its province or region.

  International students who meet the above requirements, travel to Canada will be regarded as necessary travel.

After arriving in Canada, overseas students still need to be quarantined for 14 days.

  If international students have any questions about whether the designated learning institution they plan to visit has an epidemic preparedness plan, they can contact the school directly.

  However, if an international student’s study plan has been cancelled or suspended, or entered Canada for any other reason other than studying, it will not be considered necessary travel.

Also, if the school that the international student plans to attend is not a DLI, it is not allowed to board the flight to Canada.

In addition, family members of international students are not allowed to come to Canada before the student.

  Currently, all DLI universities in Quebec are open to international students. There are 39 DLI universities in British Columbia and Alberta open to international students, and 14 in Ontario.
