On New Year's Day in 1953, Zhang Lansheng’s 60th Army Art Troupe formed 5 literary and artistic squads, braving the rain of bullets, walking through every tunnel in the front of Yuyin Mountain to condolences the officers and soldiers of the North Korean front.
There were three men and three women in the team. They performed 12 consecutive games in the Tie Maoshan position. They were so tired that their throats became hoarse, but there was one class that did not see the performance.
The company commander said that the observation post of the squad at the forefront was only 50 meters away from the enemy, which was too dangerous.
Unable to withstand repeated requests from Zhang Lansheng's people, the company commander agreed to their performance.
In the evening, the correspondents led them to the forward observation post. To ensure safety, the company mobilized all light and heavy machine guns and 60 artillery to violently fire at the enemy's position, pressing the enemy in the fortifications, and covering the corps members quickly through the open area.

Zhang Lansheng and his comrades endured their grief and buried their bodies on the hillside leading to the front, putting on their military caps and relics.
He teamed with Qin Ping, a member of the female art troupe, and went down to the eighth regiment and nine companies.
After a battle, they saw on the way back to the team: a US army jeep leaning on the side of the road, lying in the open field with a large number of enemy corpses.
There were blood and dirty bandages everywhere, and a hot wind blew in, and the air was full of sweat and blood.
The first time they saw this kind of scene, they couldn't tell what it was like.

Zhang Lansheng returned to the army after healed and was rated as third-class disabled.

Zhang Lansheng was born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in 1933, joined the army in February 1950, joined the party in July 1958, and participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea in March 1951. He has served as a creator of the 60th Army Art Troupe, cultural director of the Military and Cultural Department, Director of Culture, and Deputy Director of Nanjing Cultural Bureau , Director of the Party History Office of Jiangsu Military Region, member of Jiangsu Writers Association.
For more than 50 years, he has insisted on amateur creation and published six TV dramas including "Bitter Iron" and "Wind and Rain", four dramas including "Drunk" and "Catch Han Delqin", dozens of documentary literature and more than 100 poems.
He has won numerous awards for excellent works both inside and outside the army, and won the third-class military service three times.
On the road to a strong army in the new era, he used his faith to write brilliantly. The drama "The Man Who Scented Wine Is Not Drunk" and the song "Our Teacher" won the Army Art Creation Award.
The Shanghai TV station filmed the TV series "Bitter Iron" written by him, and his three short poems were published in the literary supplement of "People's Daily".
On the evening of National Day in 1960, CCTV's "Every Monday Song" program played "Always Follow Chairman Mao" written by him. In July 1964, he attended the National Congress of Youth Creative Activists; participated in the "Little Red Flower" art in Nanjing The troupe was founded and led the young actors of the "Little Red Flower" art troupe twice to perform for Premier Zhou.
