21 October 2020Accused of having beaten and injured a 22-year-old from Burkina Faso with a machete, a man and his two sons were arrested by police in Modena.

The agents carried out the precautionary custody order in prison, issued by the investigating judge of the Emilian city, against a 53-year-old and his children aged 30 and 24.



The three are held responsible, in competition, for attempted murder aggravated by discrimination and racial hatred. The facts date back to mid-July and had taken place in an area on the outskirts of Modena. According to the reconstruction of the investigators, the young man had been beaten only for the friendship he had with some people of Maghreb origin. The 22-year-old was hit with kicks and punches, beaten in the head and stabbed. Taken to hospital he had been operated on, but still has not recovered the functionality of his left arm.
