21 October 2020The Milanese writer Dario Crapanzano, loved for his detective novels set in the streets of Milan in the 1950s, starring Commissioner Mario Arrigoni, died after a long illness.

He was 81 years old.

Born on January 12, 1939 in Milan, where he graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art of Esperia Sperani (he studied theater with Mariangela Melato) and graduated in law from the State University, Crapanzano worked extensively in the advertising sector.

In 1967 he published the sentimental guide to the Lombard capital "In Milan with the girl ... and no" (Kidar) and in 2005 he published the ironic-epistolary novel "Ciao hypochondriac" (Delos).

But it was in 2011 that Crepanzano achieved notoriety by creating the character of Commissioner Mario Arrigoni with "Il giallo di via Tadino", which was followed by numerous other books: "La bella del Chiaravalle", "Il delitto di via Brera", "Arrigoni e the case of piazzale Loreto "," Arrigoni and the murder of via Vitruvio "," Arrigoni and the murder of the handsome priest "," The mystery of the young nurse ", all published by Mondadori, and" Arrigoni and the murder in forest "(Sem, 2018).

In 2018 with "The ringing and the crime of Lambrate" he had introduced the new character of the investigator-ringing Margherita Grande, published by Sem, which was followed by "A countess in Chinatown" (2019).

Sem next November 12 will propose, posthumously, his latest thriller.
