It is noted that the Russian Consulate General received a notification from American law enforcement agencies "about the arrest of a Russian citizen (the only one from the list of the US Department of Justice) as part of an international criminal group on charges of conspiracy to illegally export electronic equipment."

Earlier it was reported that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov sent an oral message to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in March, in which he formally called on Washington to release Russian citizens in American prisons.
