Among the seven people who must be presented to an antiterrorist judge for possible indictment, figure Brahim C. This parent of a student launched the mobilization against

Samuel Paty

after two of his courses on freedom of expression given on October 5 and 6 in his college in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, about twenty kilometers north-west of Paris.

In search of possible complicity, the anti-terrorism investigators are particularly interested in messages exchanged on WhatsApp between this father and the assailant, Abdoullakh Anzorov, 18, a refugee of Chechen origin.

The sulphurous Islamist activist Abdelhakim Sefrioui, who had accompanied this parent of a student in his mobilization, will also be presented to a judge on Wednesday.

This Islamist activist had notably posted a video on Youtube a few days ago in which he denounced the murdered professor, described as a “

thug

 ”.

Nine police custody lifted

Also referred, two minors are suspected of having received money from the assailant in exchange for information on the victim.

A source close to the matter had explained to AFP on Monday that the decapitated teacher had been "

appointed

 " to the assailant "

by one or more college students,

a priori

against remuneration

 ".

Finally, three friends of the assailant, who had spontaneously surrendered to the police on Friday evening, must also be presented to a judge.

According to a source close to the file, one of them is suspected of having escorted the assailant, while another is suspected of having accompanied him during the purchase of a weapon which was used during his attack.

The police custody of nine other people were however lifted Tuesday evening, without these people being prosecuted at this stage.

Among them are three schoolchildren, the parents, the grandfather and the little brother of the murderer, but also the companion of Abdelhakim Sefrioui as well as a man already convicted of terrorism and who was in contact with the assailant.

The pro-Palestinian collective Sheikh Yassin soon dissolved

Leave no respite to radical Islamists is the directive Emmanuel Macron gave to the state services.

Since Friday, the pressure has been very strong, we explain in the entourage of the president, who wanted to come to Seine Saint-Denis to ensure in person full mobilization of State agents, and to pass a message.

Emmanuel Macron thus promised this Tuesday to "

intensify

" the government's action against supporters of political Islamism, more than ever in the sights of the authorities.

It is not a question of making new declarations, [...] these are acts which are expected by our fellow citizens.

These acts will intensify,

”declared the Head of State in Bobigny, before announcing the dissolution on Wednesday of the pro-Palestinian collective Cheikh Yassine, founded by Abdelhakim Sefrioui.

A collective "

directly involved

" in the assassination of Samuel Paty, according to the French president.

Decisions of this type against associations, groups of individuals, will follow in the coming days and weeks

 ", added Emmanuel Macron.

About fifty associations, suspected of having connections with radical Islam, are in the crosshairs of the authorities, in particular the Collective against Islamophobia in France (CCIF) and the humanitarian association BarakaCity, which dispute the accusations made against them.

The authorities also ordered the closure of the Pantin mosque in Seine-Saint-Denis, which must be effective this Wednesday, for having relayed on his Facebook page one of the videos denouncing the course on the cartoons of Samuel Paty.

Also discussed in the Council of Ministers, the creation of a

crime of endangering the life of others

 "

on social networks.

National tribute to the Sorbonne

This Wednesday around 5.30 p.m. (3.30 p.m. UT), a national tribute will be organized in the courtyard of the Sorbonne, a temple of education which, for centuries, has embodied and promoted “

freedom of conscience and thought

 ”.

A symbolic place chosen in agreement with the teacher's family to salute the memory of this "

humble and devoted

professor

who served the Republic

 ".

Samuel Paty will be decorated posthumously with the Legion of Honor by the President of the Republic, in an intimate setting before the official ceremony.

A ceremony "

at the height of a man

", that the Head of State wants everything in "

sobriety

 " and "

emotion

 ".

Emmanuel Macron's speech will be part of this expression of freedoms.

The president will have to find the words to honor the martyr professor who has become the symbol of France under attack by obscurantism.

Find the words also to reassure French people still seized with fear in front of the barbarity of this assassination.

But no question of mixing genres, no political politics, argues the entourage of the president.

This Wednesday at the Sorbonne, it will be time for meditation.
