Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa interviewed Lee Rae-jin, the elder brother of a civil servant who was killed by the North Korean military.

Minister Kang met Lee privately at the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Doryeum-dong, Jongno-gu, for 25 minutes starting from about 10 a.m. on the 21st.

This is the first time that a bereaved family member of a government official has met a ministerial figure from a ministry related to diplomacy and security.

Mr. Lee mainly asked or suggested the position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on this incident, plans for response at the UN General Assembly, and cooperation plans for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to investigate the truth.

Mr. Lee again pointed out that the government has hastily announced a frame called North Korea for his brother's murder.

Minister Kang Kyung-hwa said that he would review the contents of Mr. Lee's proposal and give an answer in writing, and that he would cooperate as much as possible.

He also said, "We asked for cooperation with the Chinese government regarding the contents of the United Nations General Assembly, which is reported on the 23rd of the North Korean human rights issue, and the possibility of a younger brother going to China."
