Just turned 50,

David de Jorge

has found the perfect balance in the professional, loving and, above all, in a matter of kilos.

The Robin Food in the kitchen

weighed 267 kilos

of which he managed to lose 140 thanks to two operations and a proper diet.

For this reason, through his books and television programs he tries to help people know how to eat.

The chef is famous not for his talent, but for

his folksy way of spreading the

word and for saying what he feels without caring what they will say.

And therein lies its worth.

He does not cut himself if he says

"a coñazo del ciborium", "shit on the whore" or "some balls like melons"

and is cut off when he says that as a child he went to a priesthood school where his classmates wanted to be architects, doctors and lawyers and the Cook.

"It was like saying you wanted to be a whore," she has assured on occasion.

To date, he has presented

several television programs

(

Robin Food: binge-eating

,

Flavor is blind

), he has collaborated with SER and RNE and has written

countless books

with titles as suggestive as

More than 100 slimming but tasty recipes

,

With the kitchen you do not play

or

Much more than 999 recipes without nonsense.

With his partner and friend, Martín Berasategui.

The funny thing about his relationship with Eli Abad, with whom he

has been married for a decade,

is that he does not allow him to enter the kitchen at home.

There she commands.

A

sense of humor

has always strengthened your marriage.

Their first meeting was already promising.

David went out on a spree with his friends and found

a woman passed out on the street.

Opening her eyes, she saw an enormously fat man fanning her smoking a cigar.

Two weeks later they started dating.

Eli is still as excited as at the beginning because

her husband continues to make her laugh, he is considerate, thoughtful

and from the first second he has treated him like a true queen.

After so many hours of work they usually relax listening to

Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis or Pat Metheny.

David de Jorge

is a happy man.

He has fulfilled his dream.

In 1991 he

won the

Spanish Cooking Championship at the Madrid Gourmet Hall and the following year he won

first place

at the Zaldiaran Haute Cuisine Congress in Vitoria.

Suddenly, an angel appeared in his life,

Martín Berasategui, who saw his potential

and they are still united after two decades.

Together they hold no more and no less than 12 Michelin stars.

As a child he worshiped Elena Santonja's program

With his hands in the dough

and had a great time eating Padrón peppers, cream and teat cheese, Guitiriz corn cakes, Lugo chorizos or cod empanadas.

He still gets emotional when he remembers that childhood marked by his grandparents.

Gone is a record day when he

entered the Guinness Book

when he cooked a Russian steak weighing 400 kilos, 15 square meters in surface and three centimeters thick in the center of the old town of Bilbao.

Tonight at El Hormiguero 3.0, David de Jorge

visits Pablo Motos for the first time.
