In view of the curfew from 23.00 to 5.00 in the morning decided by Lombardy and Campania starting from Friday to counter the surge in cases of Covid-19, the government is working on a protocol on guidelines that establish common rules to follow for the measures contained in the various anti-contagion straits decided by each individual Region.

The document establishes general criteria that serve to coordinate the territories, in agreement with the government itself.

This is what is learned from circles of the Ministry of Autonomies.

Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte will be in Parliament today and tomorrow for information on the new provisions adopted by the government with the latest Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers (Dpcm) to combat the Covid emergency.

In the Senate Chamber the appointment is for this afternoon, while the Prime Minister will speak in the Chamber tomorrow at 10. A new Dpcm with further restrictions by the weekend is also assumed. 

The pandemic is not out of control "but the growth in infections is significant, especially in some areas of the country".

Thus in an interview with 'Il Corriere della Sera' the president of the ISS Silvio Brusaferro, member of the Cts.

"In the most affected areas - he adds - the prevention departments are under stress. This is why it is necessary to intervene promptly to change the trend of the epidemic. It is important that there is a national alert as well as more restrictive and targeted measures in regional areas and local "as in Lombardy and Campania.

"The pandemic has not gotten out of hand - he says - we can go back even in those regions to a more controlled condition".

Now the prevention services "are gearing up to intensify the activity. I think it is important that those who have had close contacts with people who tested positive, even if they are not immediately called, put themselves in quarantine for 10 days and perform a swab on the tenth day. to resume business ". 

For Brusaferro, it is also necessary to "limit contacts to the necessary ones. Social life today must be limited and fragile people and the elderly must be protected. I do not say do not go out, but avoid parties, convivial moments and unnecessary meetings".

"The effects of the choices" of the last decree "will be verified no earlier than 15 days. I believe, however, that we must be aware that we are going through a critical passage that will affect the choices of tomorrow. In a few weeks the restrictive measures could become more stringent. Lockdown? The curve is growing fast and this should cause us to worry. In the national document where 4 scenarios are hypothesized, we talk about progressive and extended restrictions ". 

Boom of coronavirus cases in Veneto.

The press office of the Region in fact declared, in the 8 o'clock bulletin, 1,083 positive for Covid-19.

Of these, 524 people are hospitalized in the normal ward, ie infectious disease, of which 85 are already negativized.

In intensive care there are 66 people, of which 10 are negativized.

Five new victims were registered this morning.

Yesterday, with 144,737 swabs, 10,874 new infections from Covid-19 and 89 deaths were recorded.

There are 870 patients in intensive care, (+73).

133,415 in home isolation, 7,885 more than on Monday.

At the regional level, Lombardy remains the most problematic area, with 2,023 new cases, followed by Piedmont with 1,396, Campania with 1,312 and Lazio 1,224.
