Updated numbers in Italy and in the world A

surge in new cases of coronavirus positivity.

In the last 24 hours, 15,199 people were infected (yesterday they were 10,874).

127 have died (yesterday 89).

It is the highest figure since the contagion started to grow again.

This was announced by the bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

The total number of deaths since the beginning of the emergency is 36,832.

Also in the last 24 hours, 2,369 patients recovered / discharged.

177,848 swabs carried out in the last 24 hours.

 926 patients admitted to intensive care, an increase of 56 units.

The healed are 257,374 (+2,369), while the currently positive 155,442 (+12,703 since yesterday).

As for the individual regions, another peak of new cases in Lombardy (+4,125), 1,799 hits in Piedmont, 1,760 in Campania and 1422 in Veneto.

The least affected region is Molise (+22).

There are

new cases of coronavirus in Lombardy, with the total jumping to 134,604, and 20 deaths for a total of 17,123 deaths.

The new infected have doubled compared to yesterday when they were 2,023.

This is what emerges from the data released by the Ministry of Health.

The swabs carried out today were 36,416.

The

Region Crisis Unit has announced that the positives of the day are

of which 99 symptomatic and 1,661 asymptomatic on 13,878 swabs.

The total of positives is 30,484 out of 802,965 swabs.

There are 11 deaths (between 17 and 20 October) for a total of 545. The healed of the day are 106 which bring the total number to 8,838.

Covid beds report on a regional basis: total intensive care: 227;

employed: 85;

Total hospital beds: 1100;

996 employed.

In the Lazio region in the last 24 hours

new cases and 16 deaths.

There are 17,403 positive cases at Covid-19 in Lazio.

Of these, 16,048 are in home isolation, 1,226 are hospitalized not in intensive care, 129 are hospitalized in intensive care (+6 compared to yesterday), 1,054 have died and 9,913 have recovered.

This was announced by the Department of Health and Social Health Integration of the Lazio Region.

The bulletin of the Veneto Region has counted

new infections since yesterday for a total of 38,265 from the beginning of the emergency to today.

Seven new deaths (five only in the night).

The number of positives in intensive care was constant (56).

The boom in Covid cases recorded today in Veneto is largely due to an accounting reason: the uploading of part of the data of the last 6 days of the microbiology of the Ulss of Venice, updated by IT following changes introduced in the survey system.

From 15 October onwards, in fact, only part of the Venetian data had flowed into the regional bulletin.

With the stock due to today's update, Venice has risen by 504 cases.

But the data, it is specified, is not due to new Covid outbreaks in the province.
