21 October 2020Second in San Daniele del Friuli (beaten for 7 "by Tratnik), first twenty-four hours later in Madonna di Campiglio: a close double for Ben O'Connor, who still has a leg despite the fatigue of Tuesday and wins the seventeenth stage of the Giro d'Italia (taken from Bassano, 203 kilometers), a high mountain hamlet (4 gpm and uphill finish) which, however, produces a mouse, as the ranking remains crystallized with the Portuguese Almeida (who reached the finish line with over 5 'late) always in the pink jersey.

Behind the Australian, who flies off at -6, second place for the Austrian Pernsteiner, 31 "behind, third De Gendt (at 1'13") ahead of Zakarin.

Good seventh place for Davide Villella.
