On October 21, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that units of the Karabakh Defense Army shot down an Azerbaijani plane in the southern direction of the line of contact.

Baku stated that this information is "another falsification".

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called for an end to whipping up confrontational rhetoric and stopping hostilities.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed his readiness to come to Moscow to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

In turn, Aliyev stressed that Baku is ready to hold negotiations in Moscow and in any other place.
