Snow plows have been working all day on roads and parking lots in the area.
Along the mountain road in Sälen, plow trucks have been in shuttle traffic and only a few heavy vehicles have been forced to stop on the steep climb.
Some minor traffic accidents have occurred, including in Äppelbo, Bjursås and as in the clip above in Gopshus between Oxberg and Mora.
There are reports of very slippery road conditions in some places.
By evening, almost 15 centimeters of fresh snow had fallen in some places.
The snowfall is expected to turn into rain during the night.
