Monday evening, a roadside control went wrong again in France.

This time, the facts took place in Salles-sur-Mer near La Rochelle in Charente-Maritime.

Two gendarmes on patrol were attacked and injured by two men around 9 p.m. in the parking lot of a supermarket in the municipality.

Initially, the two gendarmes simply wanted to control the vehicle but on their arrival, the van tried to flee before being blocked.

It was when the blood alcohol test was carried out that things got out of hand with the driver and then his passenger.

The two gendarmes, including a woman, were struck in the face before succeeding in controlling the two men thanks to the use of the electric pistol, reports France Bleu La Rochelle.

The 49-year-old driver and his 26-year-old passenger were taken into police custody for violence and contempt.

The two gendarmes saw themselves recognize several days of ITT.
