In the letter, the politicians recalled, among other things, that the UAE is cooperating with Russia and China in the field of weapons.

Thus, they stressed that in 2017, Abu Dhabi and Moscow signed an agreement, which includes, among other things, the development of a fifth generation fighter and the purchase of Russian Su-35 aircraft.

"Did the UAE give the United States any assurances and guarantees regarding the protection of American technology from Russian and Chinese personnel who may participate in these programs?"

- the senators ask a question.

According to politicians, the deal with the UAE "could pose a serious threat to US national security and the security of American troops."

The F-35 is one of the "most advanced fighters in the world," which gives the United States and its partners a "huge military advantage," the document says.

Senators expressed concern that the "recklessly accelerated deadline" of the deal would prevent experts from comprehensively considering the feasibility of selling the F-35 to the United Arab Emirates.

Earlier, US presidential adviser Jared Kushner said that the administration is "seriously discussing" the supply of F-35s to the UAE.
