The UAE welcomed the understanding between the Republic of Sudan and the United States of America, which led to the announcement of US President Donald Trump to approach the removal of Sudan from the US list of states sponsoring terrorism.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its support for all efforts exerted to complete the procedures for removing Sudan from this list, stressing its continuous support for everything that contributes to strengthening Sudan's security, stability and prosperity, in a way that achieves the aspirations and hopes of the Sudanese people for development, prosperity and stability.
The Ministry expressed its hope that this step will end the long years of isolation and the political and economic suffering that Sudan has been subjected to, and consolidate peace, security and stability in its territories, in a way that will benefit the Sudanese people and the region.
