The theatrical release of the comedy "Kaamelott - First part" has been postponed indefinitely and that of "The Origin of the World", a comedy by Laurent Lafitte, has been postponed to February 2021 due to new health restrictions.

In May, the release of "Kaamelott - First part" - an adaptation of a cult M6 series - initially scheduled for the end of July, had already been postponed for the first time, to November 25.

This time, the SND distributor does not announce a date.

"In view of the evolution of the health situation and the new government measures, the release of the film + Kaamelott - First part + directed by Alexandre Astier has been postponed. Alexandre Astier and SND remain determined to present this film to the public, in the best possible conditions. , in theaters, "the distributor wrote on Twitter.

"L'Origine Du Monde", the comedy by Laurent Lafitte which was to be released on November 4, 2020, has postponed its release to February 10, Studiocanal and Trésor Films announced in a press release.

"The operating conditions linked to sanitary measures, and the curfew imposed in 9 metropolitan areas will prevent the film from being seen in good conditions by all," he said.

Studiocanal and Trésor Films regret that requests for exemptions beyond 9 p.m. for theaters and cinemas have been refused, and are forced to take this decision, especially since the release initially planned took place after the holidays of the Toussaint.

On the other hand, Warner Bros France has brought forward by one week, to October 21, the release of "Miss" by Ruben Alves.

"Meet in theaters on Wednesday to discover the heartbreaking story of Alex, who has a dream: to become Miss France!", Wrote the distributor on Twitter.

Wednesday, on the scheduled date, also leaves "Adieu les cons" by Albert Dupontel.

"The question is no longer whether people are going to want to see the film, but whether they will be able to see it. And that's serious," the director told Premiere on Thursday.
