Started providing information on executions to crime victims October 21, 4:35

At the request of the victims of the case, the Ministry of Justice will newly provide information on the execution of the death penalty from the 21st, over a system that can receive information on the outcome of the trial and the situation in the prison of the perpetrator. It was decided to do.

The Ministry of Justice has a system in place to provide information about perpetrators, such as the outcome of the trial, the status of guidance in the prison, and the date of release from the prison, if the victim of the case or his family wishes.

However, once the death penalty is finalized, information about the perpetrator will no longer be provided, so the bereaved family who lost the victim requested that they "want to know information about the death penalty."

In response to this, the Ministry of Justice will also provide new information on the execution of the death penalty from the 21st.

Specifically, at the request of the victim himself, his family, and his attorney at law, he will inform him of the fact that he executed the death penalty for the perpetrator, as well as the place and date of execution, and will be contacted. You can choose to send by phone or in writing in advance.

The Ministry of Justice also provides information on cases of death row prisoners dying from illness, for reasons other than the death penalty.
