Today, both the Infection Control Act and the Public Order Act are used to limit how people are allowed to move, to reduce the spread of infection.

But the existing laws are not enough, the government believes.

They want to see a new temporary law that would give politicians increased powers to, among other things, limit the number of passengers in public transport and to regulate opening hours and the number of visitors to shops.

Joakim Nergelius believes that temporary laws are not unique.

He says that the current legislation makes big differences between what is a general meeting and what is not.

- The longer the situation continues as it is now, the greater the protests from artists and the like will be.

He also says that the risk with the law is if you restrict the constitutionally protected freedoms too much.

- But we do not know yet.

We will see what the proposal will eventually look like, says Joakim Nergelius.
