Member of the House of Councilors Takanori Kawai, who is independent of the people and is from a private union, joins the party October 20, 14:51

Takanori Kawai, a member of the House of Councilors from a private labor union who had forgotten to join the new party such as the Constitutional Democratic Party, joined the Democratic Party for the People.

Takanori Kawai, a member of the Confederation's private industrial union, UA Zensen, who was elected to the proportional representation of the House of Councilors, said to both parties when the new Constitutional Democratic Party and the Democratic Party for the People formed a party in September. While I couldn't fully see how the support should be, I decided not to participate in any of them because I wanted to make a careful decision.

Mr. Kawai said that it is desirable to work in a party with similar ideas and policies in view of the election, considering that the coalition decided to support both the Constitutional Democratic Party and the Democratic Party for the People. I submitted a notification of admission to the Democratic Party and it was approved at the general assembly of both Houses on the 20th.

With Mr. Kawai joining the party, the number of members of the Democratic Party for the People has increased to 16 in both Houses of Representatives.
