“We believe in reason and are far from thinking that American officials could do this with expensive equipment, which is in demand today in many countries of the world amid a pandemic,” the TASS concern said.

They noted that they had not seen any official documents on this matter.

“There are publications in certain media outlets, but they can hardly be perceived as a source of official and trustworthy information,” added KRET.

Earlier, the US Federal Emergency Management Agency said it had disposed of 45 ventilators that were supplied from Russia.

They noted that the devices were disposed of "in accordance with strict regulatory guidelines for the disposal of hazardous waste."
