According to a police report, the two Södertälje residents, 28 and 24 years old, have used a false purchase contract from an Austrian electric bicycle company in their application to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency of SEK 10,000 each for the purchase of electric bicycles.

The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency had suspicions

The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency became suspicious and checked the purchase contract, which another seven people turned out to have used.

The Austrian company then confirmed that the purchase contracts were false.

Södertälje residents are said to have paid back the money and deny the crime, but are now still being brought to justice at Södertälje District Court on suspicion of fraud.
