According to a judicial source, 6 of the 16 police custody carried out in the investigation into the assassination of Samuel Paty, including those of the assailant's family, were lifted on Tuesday evening. 

Six detained in the investigation into the assassination of Samuel Paty were released Tuesday evening, out of the sixteen people interviewed by the police.

Police custody of the author's family, parents, grandfather and younger brother of the assailant, Abdullakh Anzarov;

as well as that of the companion of the militant Islamist Abdelhakim Sefrioui and of the individual, formerly convicted of acts of terrorism, who had been in contact with the author have thus ended.

The Pnat must now decide on a possible presentation to a judge of the ten people still in custody.
