The purpose of the cameras is that they should be crime prevention, have a crime-solving effect and be a security for the residents and SEK 350,000 is set aside for the investment.

The Social Democrats objected to the decision, citing, among other things, the lack of a so-called causal analysis and the Left Party also voted no.
An evaluation of the cameras' effects will be presented in June 2022.
