After the recent serious incidents with shootings and knife cuts in, among other places, Tjärna meadows and Jakobsgårdarna, Jan Bohman and the Social Democrats in Borlänge are now presenting an eight-point program with measures to rectify the situation.

Among the measures is a wish that the police ensure that the promised nine new area police officers are in place.

In addition, more security guards will go out to more places in the municipality.

Jan Bohman also points out extended camera surveillance as an important measure. A total of 75 new cameras will be in place.

The program also includes requests that the housing company Tunabyggen work more with illegal subletting, that drug controls with, among other things, drug dogs at selected schools be developed and that the municipality intensify the work with gang criminals who want to drop the criminal life.

- Efforts must now be made to put in order the crime that has shown its ugly face.

We Social Democrats see the problems and intend to be part of solving them.

It should be difficult to engage in criminal activity in Borlänge, writes Jan Bohman (S) in a press release.

In the long term, Bohman wants to see preventive measures through support for parents of students and greater collaboration with the municipality's associations.
