We ask God Almighty for his forgiveness, and to dwell in his spaciousness, and to inspire his family and his relatives patience and solace.

The Emirates Journalists Association mourned the late Ibrahim Al-Abed, advisor to the board of directors of the National Media Council, and the Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, Muhammad Al-Hammadi, said that the deceased was a great figure in the press and media at the local, regional and Arab levels, and one of the most prominent press and media leaders in the country, and from the first generation who They put the first touches to the rules of the press and media in the Emirates, and his donation spanned five decades, which he spent in Her Majesty's court, and in the service of the Emirati and Arab press and media.

The late served as Director General of the National Media Council, director of the Emirates News Agency, and supervising editing of the UAE yearbook, brochures and other publications issued by the Foreign Media Department, and he is a founding member of the Journalists Association, and a member of the Pioneers Committee of the Society.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum honored him by handing him the Media Personality of the Year award at the 2014 Arab Journalism Award Ceremony, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored him by handing him the Abu Dhabi Award 2018.
