The Syrian Ministry of Internal Trade said in a statement, “Based on the recommendation of the Economic Committee and the letter of the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources, a decision was issued to raise the price of a liter of industrial and commercial free diesel from 180 to 650 Syrian pounds, and a liter of 95 octane gasoline from 850 to 1050 pounds. Equivalent to half an American dollar. "

According to a statement by the Ministry of Internal Trade, "the price of a liter of heating oil allocated to homes remains without any change or modification at 180 Syrian pounds, as well as for the rest of the sectors such as transport, agriculture and the public sector."

The statement indicated that there has been no change to the price of a liter of diesel for food furnaces, and the price remains at 135 Syrian pounds.

According to the ministry, "The adjustment of the price of a liter of industrial and commercial diesel came in view of the large costs that the government incurs to secure oil derivatives in light of the blockade imposed by the American administration on Syria, with the aim of securing the industrial need for actual diesel, and limiting the smuggling of the material to neighboring countries."
