Nantes Métropole extends aid to buy or repair a bicycle

Good news !

Nantes Métropole has just decided to extend the financial aid that was put in place last May, as part of the bicycle-pedestrian plan.

Thus, until December 31, 2020, the inhabitants of the 24 member municipalities of the metropolis will be able to benefit from a helping hand to have their slightly old bicycles repaired or to buy an electric one.

For a purchase, 100 euros will be donated to them.

The aid will even be increased to 200 euros for companies participating in the mobility pack.

Already many requests

Those who wish to repair their bikes can call on the "bicycle boost": the metropolis has planned to double the funding by 50 euros (the people of Nantes can therefore combine them with those already offered by the State).

This decision comes after the success encountered in the face of numerous requests for grants: 2,117 requests for grants for the purchase of an electrically assisted bicycle and 5,060 requests for assistance in repairing a bicycle since May.
