In total, about eighty different investigations are underway into cyber hatred.

The murdered teacher Samuel Paty, 47, had been threatened online for showing controversial caricatures of Islam's prophet Muhammad, and according to the interior minister, a well-known Muslim militant and a student's father had issued a fatwa against the teacher before the murder.

It is now being investigated whether certain Muslim associations in the country should be dissolved after accusations that they advocated violence and hatred.

The suspected killer was shot dead by police shortly after the attack.

Since last Friday, eleven people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
