The chief physician of the commune, Tove Rösstad, noted that the new mutation of the virus is more infectious than the previous one circulating in Norway.

 “Gradually, we got a lot of infected people, and at least about 1000 people are in quarantine,” Rösstad said.

In his opinion, the number of people infected will only grow as testing is carried out. 

Earlier in Norway, restrictions were imposed on passengers of liners due to COVID-19.
