Tunisian Prime Minister Hicham El Mechichi authorized all governors (conservatives) in the country to announce a curfew in their regions, starting from Tuesday, due to the spread of the Corona virus, while the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 worldwide exceeded 40 million.

This came during a meeting of the Walker with a number of senior security leaders at the Government Palace in the Kasbah today, Monday, in the presence of Interior Minister Tawfiq Sharaf al-Din, according to a statement by the Prime Minister.

And 6 Tunisian states have been living a night curfew for about two weeks to limit the spread of the Corona virus, which are Tunis, Manouba, Ben Arous and Ariana in the north, and the states of Sousse and Monastir to the east.

The Tunisian Ministry of Health said that it had recorded 114 deaths in Corona, and 5752 injuries between 13 and 16 October.

The ministry stated that the total number of cases of the epidemic reached 40,542, including 626 deaths, while it did not mention the number of people recovering.

Tunisia managed to contain the virus earlier in the year.

Globally, more than 2.5 million infections were announced in the last seven days, the highest number recorded in a week since the start of the outbreak.

A total of 40 million and 234 cases were recorded, and one million and about 114 thousand deaths worldwide due to the virus.

More than half of the cases were recorded in the three most affected countries, which are the United States, India and Brazil.

The increase in the number of recorded injuries can be explained by the increase in the number of examinations that are conducted in some countries, and despite this, a large part of the cases are still less serious or do not show symptoms that are not detected, most likely.

Palestine

In Palestine, the Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kailah, announced on Monday that 6 deaths, 543 new injuries, and 572 recoveries had been recorded during the past 24 hours.

In a press release, Al-Kailah indicated that all deaths were recorded in the West Bank, including one in East Jerusalem.

Among the injuries, 466 are in the West Bank, including 62 in East Jerusalem, and 77 in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Kaila explained that the total number of injuries registered with the Ministry of Health reached 59,82, of whom 51,806 recovered, while the number of deaths reached 484.

In Israel, the occupation authorities announced today that 892 cases of Coronavirus were recorded during the last 24 hours, registering a decrease in the number of infections compared to previous weeks.

And the Israeli Ministry of Health said in a statement that the total number of HIV infections had risen to more than 30,000.

Israel has recorded record numbers of more than 9,000 injuries per day during the past four weeks.

High in Europe

The continent of Europe is facing a big surge in the number of infections and deaths from the Corona virus, as winter approaches.

The World Health Organization said, "The situation in Europe causes great concern."

This came on the heels of a week that witnessed a surge in injuries in the continent by 44% compared to the previous week, at a time when infection rates decreased in Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.

France, which recorded 32,000 new infections yesterday, Saturday, imposed a curfew between nine in the evening and six in the morning for at least a month, and in an area that includes 10 major cities, including Paris and its suburbs.

In the United Kingdom - which is the most affected European country - recorded 43,500 deaths and 15,000 new infections last Friday, and the authorities tended to tighten restrictions, as half of the population became subject to those restrictions.

In London and several other regions - which means about 11 million people - gatherings in closed spaces between families and friends were prevented, while the Lancashire (North-West) and Liverpool were subject to a state of high health alert.
