Late on Sunday afternoon, the police received an alarm that a number of men were pulling inside the parking garage in Umeå, carrying both small arms and automatic weapons.
A major operation was launched and the police write on their website that they could soon "command down one by one from the parking garage for control."
The men have since said that they were filming and that it was toy guns that were used.
A number of weapons have now been found to be "classified as so-called soft air guns".
Police: Must contact in advance
All the men involved are of legal age, but it is unclear whether they will be suspected of any crime, the police write about the incident.
Simply pulling out and filming with toy guns does not work, the police explain:
"You must contact the police in advance to avoid potentially dangerous situations."
