Al-Jazeera correspondents in Azerbaijan and Armenia reported that the front lines are still burning by bombing by both sides, amid exchanging accusations between the two countries of violating the humanitarian truce.

On the Azerbaijani side;

Al-Jazeera correspondent Al-Mu'taz Billah Hassan reported that several shells fell on the city of Tartar and several villages belonging to it in the vicinity of the internationally recognized Qarabagh region.

He pointed out that the sounds of the shells indicate that they are of heavy caliber, and that they fall randomly, as they targeted one of the schools in which the effects of the destruction were filmed on the island.

According to military sources in Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani army responded to the fire coming from the Armenian side.

The Ministry of Defense in Azerbaijan accused Armenia of not complying with the new humanitarian armistice, and of seeking to increase tension on the battle fronts.

In his tweet on Twitter, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the flag of his country was raised over the strategic Khodaverin Bridge, which connects the city of Gabriel - which the Azerbaijani army recaptured from Armenia - and Iranian lands.

Earlier, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said that the army had shot down an Armenian Sukhoi-25 warplane that was trying to direct air strikes at the Azerbaijani army positions in the Gabriel region, and Yerevan quickly denied this.

The Armenian position

On the other hand, the Armenian Self-Defense Army in Karabakh said that Azerbaijan again violated the armistice by resuming the military offensive on the southern front.

Al-Jazeera correspondent Muhammad al-Bakkali quoted the Armenian ministries of defense and foreign affairs as saying that the truce has ended and needs to be rescued, and that they reject accusations of violating the armistice.

On the other hand, the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced that Baku had rejected Yerevan's offer to accept the withdrawal of wounded soldiers from the battlefield mediated by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The new truce was announced on Saturday, after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke by phone with his counterparts in Azerbaijan and Armenia, and called on both sides to implement the truce that he had brokered a week ago.

Baku said on Saturday that 60 civilians in Azerbaijan had been killed and 270 wounded since the outbreak of fighting on 27 September.

As for the Defense Forces in the Karabakh region, 37 of its soldiers were killed in the battles, bringing the total number of military deaths to 710 since the beginning of the battles.

Turkey accuses the Minsk group

In this context, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the trio of Minsk Group (Russia, the United States and France) stand by Armenia and support it with all kinds of weapons, explaining that the group's countries have been unable to solve the crisis 30 years ago.

In a speech in the city of Sirnak (southeast of Turkey), Erdogan stressed that Armenia violated the ceasefire with Azerbaijan shortly after it took effect.
