The last case of infection in New Zealand itself then dated from twelve days earlier.

Earlier this year, the country celebrated that it was one hundred days corona-free, but in August there was another outbreak.

In early September, the virus claimed the life of someone for the first time in three months.

The 186 cases since the new outbreak were all 'extinguished' by October 7.

Wedding in New York with 10,000 guests banned

Authorities in New York City, USA, have banned a wedding where more than 10,000 people were expected.

Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York State announced this during a press conference.

The Orthodox Jewish wedding was scheduled for Monday in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn borough.

"You can get married. But you just can't host a thousand people at your wedding. At the end of the day, you'll have the same result. It's cheaper too!" Said Cuomo.

New York rules to prevent the spread of the coronavirus limit social gatherings to a maximum of 50 people.

For religious events in a church or temple, the limit is 33 percent of the building's capacity.

New York was the epicenter of the U.S. corona outbreak in the spring, and the city has recorded more than 23,800 corona deaths.

The city managed to get the crisis under control by letting people stay at home.

But in recent weeks, the number of positive tests has risen, especially in districts where many Orthodox Jews live.
