On the afternoon of the 18th, Prime Minister Suga, who set out on his first foreign visit after taking office, arrived in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, the first country he visited before 8 pm on the 18th of Japan time.



Prime Minister Suga is planning to attend a summit meeting with Prime Minister Hook on the 19th, and will head to the South China Sea before the ASEAN-Association of Southeast Asian Nations-related summit meeting chaired by Vietnam will be held next month. I would like to confirm the cooperation for the realization of a free and open Indo-Pacific based on the rule of law, with China in mind, which will intensify the advancement of Vietnam.
