The Bahraini Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, after the visit of a joint American-Israeli delegation headed by the US Secretary of the Treasury, Stephen Mnuchin, and the Israeli National Security Adviser, Meir Bin Shabat, confirmed that the declaration of support for peace with the State of Israel and the signing of memoranda of understanding yesterday in a number of areas It establishes fruitful bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel;

He stressed that achieving peace will be reflected in achieving the aspirations of the countries and peoples of the region for stability, peace, construction and development.

This came when Al-Zayani met, yesterday, the Israeli National Security Adviser, Meir Bin Shabat, on the occasion of the Israeli delegation’s visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he welcomed the Israeli National Security Adviser, praising the importance of the Israeli delegation’s visit to the Kingdom and the positive results that this visit resulted in pushing towards building more relationships. Between the two countries, noting the Kingdom of Bahrain's interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in a way that achieves common aspirations, and reflects positively on the future of the peace process in the region and enhances its stability.

For his part, Meir Bin Shabat affirmed that the success of this visit will positively affect the future of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel, in terms of continuing joint coordination between them and contributing to strengthening the peace process in the region in a way that serves the aspirations of its states and peoples towards progress and prosperity, noting the Kingdom of Bahrain's vision for peace in The Middle East and its keenness to enhance stability and security in the region.

Earlier, the Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Muhammad bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, received in his office at Al-Qudhaibiya Palace the joint American-Israeli delegation headed by the US Secretary of the Treasury, Stephen Mnuchin, and the Israeli National Security Adviser, Meir bin Shabat, and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom.

Welcoming the joint delegation, the Bahraini Prime Minister said that the declaration in support of peace between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Israel confirms the approach of the country's king, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in commitment to peace as a strategic option through which frameworks for initiatives to promote international cooperation, stability, peace and prosperity in the Middle East region are launched. And in a manner that ensures the strengthening and success of efforts aimed at resolving the Palestinian issue in accordance with the two-state solution, international legitimacy decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative, as this is the best way to achieve just and comprehensive peace in the region.

He noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain, a country of tolerance, coexistence and openness to religions and cultures, views the peace process as an important step that establishes broader relations for the benefit of the countries and peoples of the region.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that in light of historical experiences, constructive and fruitful cooperation is the effective way to face the challenges in the Middle East region and the world at large, and to achieve the desired hopes and aspirations at all levels and levels.
