In the United States, several tenors of the Republican Party are now openly worried about a Democratic tidal wave.

Donald Trump is lagging behind in the polls in several pivotal states.

It is also lagging behind when it comes to donations.

In September, he collected "only" $ 248 million, against $ 383 million for his Democratic opponent Joe Biden.

Democratic donors rallied like never before last month.

The payments have accelerated during and after

, inaudible, between the two candidates.

They were also extremely numerous after the death of

Ruth Bader Ginsburg

, liberal pillar of the Supreme Court, whom Donald Trump wants to replace at a run by a conservative magistrate.

Many small Democratic donors are outraged.

Result: more than 100 million dollars paid in a single weekend, for the campaign of Joe Biden, which now arouses more enthusiasm, but also for that of Democratic candidates for the post of senator.

A poll that is held the same day, November 3.

These donations allow in any case the former vice-president of Barack Obama to catch up on Donald Trump.

The latter, who is preparing his re-election since his arrival at the White House, however left with a comfortable financial advantage.

Today he only has $ 251 million in cash, compared to $ 432 million for Joe Biden, who can therefore afford more advertising inserts.

His campaign and allies spent an additional $ 240 million on TV ads in six key states.
