Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga today (17th) dedicated a tribute to Yasukuni Shrine's autumn rites, where 14 spirits of A-class war criminals of the Pacific War are sacrificed together.

Prime Minister Suga did not visit Yasukuni Shrine and did not send any tribute while serving as the secretary of state for over 7 years and 8 months, the second term of the former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The reason why Prime Minister Suga did not worship directly, but replaced it with tribute, could lead to fierce opposition between South Korea and China and create diplomatic friction from the beginning of his inauguration.

Prime Minister Suga's dedication of this tribute by the Prime Minister, who promoted the full succession of the Abe cabinet, is interpreted as a means of continuing the Abe route even in the issue of Yasukuni Shrine.
