India chooses 300 million people to receive Corona vaccine

"The Times of India" reported, today, Saturday, that India is in the process of identifying 300 million people, who will receive the first dose of a vaccine against the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).

The newspaper's report quoted officials as saying that priority will be given to individuals in sectors facing high risks, such as policemen, health care and sanitation workers, the elderly and people suffering from more than one disease, according to Bloomberg News.

The report added that trials that will include an overdose are scheduled for the first phase, once the vaccine is approved, according to the report.

More than 7 million people in India have been infected with the emerging coronavirus, making it the second largest country in the world in terms of the number of infections.
