Leipzig, future opponents of Paris SG in the Champions League, took the lead in the Bundesliga alone on Saturday thanks to their 2-0 victory in Augsburg on Matchday 4.

With 10 points, the RB is ahead of Borussia Dortmund (9 pts) winner 1-0 at Hoffenheim.

If Bayern Munich (6 pts) returns victorious from his trip to the promoted Bielefeld (6.30 p.m.), the unchanging trio which dominates German football will already be in charge after four days.

- Leipzig in full swing -

RB Leipzig let their attackers Timo Werner (Chelsea) and Patrik Schick (Leverkusen) leave this summer, but have not lost any of their offensive efficiency.

In a stadium empty of spectators, Jose Angelino opened the scoring just before the break (1-0, 45th) and Yussuf Poulsen doubled the bet with a superb volley in the middle of the race (2-0, 66th).

With ten goals, RB has the second best attack in the Bundesliga, behind Bayern (13 goals), whose score is boosted by their 8-0 of the first day against Schalke.

The away victory also allows the "Red Bulls" to break their own unbeaten away record in the Bundesliga, with now nine games unbeaten away from home, six wins and three draws.

Frankfurt (7 pts) can still come and play the spoilsport on Sunday, coming back to Leipzig in the event of victory in Cologne (3.30pm).

- Kramaric positive for coronavirus -

In Hoffenheim, where 6,000 spectators had been authorized to come and support their team against Dortmund, the first bad surprise came when the scoresheet was announced.

Scorer Andrej Kramaric, unstoppable since the start of the season, was absent: tested positive for coronavirus, he is subject to quarantine.

Opposite, Borussia coach Lucien Favre had left several executives to rest, including his striker Erling Haaland, in anticipation of the Champions League opener on Tuesday in Rome against Lazio, and the marathon of seven matches to be played in three weeks before the next international truce.

At the hour mark, despite several unmissable opportunities for BVB, the score was still 0-0.

The Swiss coach then played a winning shot, bringing in Haaland and Marco Reus together.

The Norwegian delivered the decisive pass to the German for the only goal of the match (1-0, 76th).

At 6.30 p.m., Bayern will also play behind closed doors in Bielefeld, affected like many German cities by a rapid increase in the rate of infection.

Coach Hansi Flick has recovered all of his internationals in good health, but has vowed to only play in the coming weeks those "capable of giving 100%".

The reigning European champion opens his campaign for a second consecutive title on Wednesday with the reception of Atletico Madrid.
